Job summary

Emapta Philippines is seeking a QA & Validation Engineer to strengthen automation, compliance, and release confidence across mission-critical software. Hybrid setup in Makati with night shift and weekends off.

The role emphasizes building automated UI and API tests in TypeScript, plus GxP/21 CFR Part 11 validation and data integrity checks in PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production QA automation experience
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript programming skills
• Experience with Playwright (preferred) or Cypress
• Strong SQL skills in PostgreSQL
• Excellent written English for test plans and validation protocols
• Experience in regulated environments (GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the browser-level automated test suite from scratch using Playwright and TypeScript
• Establish automated regression coverage across approximately 20 mission-critical workflows, including authentication and RBAC
• Build, maintain, and execute an automated smoke and verification test pass against production environments after every release
• Author and execute IQ/OQ/PQ test protocols for GxP/21 CFR Part 11
• Navigate backend schemas and query PostgreSQL to validate data isolation and transactional accuracy
• Expand automated integration and unit test coverage across modules and use GitHub Actions for CI/CD

The Qualifications We Seek

• More than 3 years of production QA automation experience, with a proven background in developing robust automated UI and API test suites for complex B2B web applications
• Strong hands-on programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience using Playwright (preferred) or Cypress alongside modern unit testing frameworks such as Vitest or Jest
• Strong SQL proficiency, with the ability to inspect complex relational schemas, write multi-table joins, and validate record integrity in PostgreSQL
• Exceptional technical written English skills, with the ability to author clear, unambiguous, step-by-step test plans and validation protocols that third-party auditors or team members can execute independently without clarification
• Meticulous, evidence-driven approach to capturing failure outputs, network payloads, console errors, and reproduction steps
• Experience in regulated environments such as GxP, GAMP 5, Computer System Validation, or FDA 21 CFR Part 11, or functional familiarity with ERP, MES, or QMS domains, including Bills of Materials, Lot Genealogy, Inventory Valuation, CAPA, Deviations, and Electronic Signatures, strongly preferred

Your Daily Tasks

End-to-End Automated Testing

• Design, build, and maintain the browser-level automated test suite from scratch using Playwright and TypeScript
• Establish automated regression coverage across approximately 20 mission-critical workflows, including authentication and RBAC, order-to-cash, electronic batch records, quality deviations, contract lifecycle, and approval hierarchies

Post-Deploy Production Verification

• Build, maintain, and execute an automated smoke and verification test pass against production environments after every release
• Serve as the required sign-off gate before builds receive shipped status

GxP / 21 CFR Part 11 Protocol Execution

• Author and execute formal Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, and Performance Qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) test protocols
• Capture tamper-evident runtime logs, screenshots, and test artifacts
• Log deviations accurately and maintain the requirements traceability matrix

Database & State Validation

• Navigate backend schemas and query PostgreSQL directly to validate data isolation, tenant security through Row-Level Security (RLS), and transactional accuracy
• Validate backend states directly rather than rely solely on UI assertions

Integration & Regression Testing

• Expand automated integration and unit test coverage across thin modules
• Protect against regressions throughout the continuous deployment pipeline using GitHub Actions.
