Job summary

VAST LIGHTING CORP is seeking a QC/QA Supervisor to lead quality inspection activities and improve product quality. The role covers incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections, plus training and coaching inspectors.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in quality and at least 3 years in a supervisory position, with strong leadership and MS Office skills. Knowledge of ISO QMS and 7 QC tools is advantageous.

Qualifications

• College Level / Vocational graduate.
• 3-5 years of experience in the quality field.
• 3 years’ experience in a supervisor or lead role.
• Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, professionalism and leadership skills.
• Understanding of basic QMS clauses and ISO standards is an advantage.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Knowledgeable in 7 QC tools and other inspection/quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, perform and prioritize all incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections per procedures.
• Ensure inspectors are trained; act as lead trainer for new and current inspectors.
• Review daily quality reports and implement actions for missing items.
• Examine products for quality and defects.
• Update/maintain inspection documents, logs, and records.
• Ensure quality of manufactured goods.
• Assist in customer complaint investigations and root-cause analysis with relevant departments.
• Perform other duties within skills and competency.

Job Description

The QC/QA Supervisor should understand the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. The job includes, but are not limited to, development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the ability to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices, an understanding of human factors and motivation, facility with quality cost concepts and techniques, and the knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems and to audit quality system for deficiency identification.

• 1. Supervises, perform and prioritizes all Incoming Inspection, In-process inspection and Outgoing inspection. As well as perform them as applicable to ensures they are done in compliance with the procedures.
• 2. Supervise and oversee that all inspectors are trained to all required procedures and processes. Lead trainer for all new quality inspectors as well as ongoing continuous training of current inspectors.
• 3. Review and analyze daily quality report and give actions on those miss items.
• 4. Responsible for examining for quality and defects.
• 5. Update and maintain inspection documents, forms log sheet and other records.
• 6. Ensure quality of manufactured goods.
• 7. Will assist in performing customer complaint investigations as well as root cause analysis and report writing. This includes working and communicating with appropriate department leaders as required per the investigation.
• 8. Other duties may be assigned, within the acquired skills and competency.

Job Qualifications
