Vineyard Construction is seeking a QA/QC professional to oversee quality control and assurance on construction projects. The role involves implementing QA/QC requirements, conducting inspections, and coordinating with contractors to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
Responsibilities include maintaining inspection records, reviewing IR/MIR/ITP-related documents, and guiding actions to prevent defects and non-conformances while supporting timely project
1. STRATEGIC: (25% of time)
a. Develops and implements project quality control requirements by ensuring construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and established quality procedures.
b. Provides quality assurance oversight by establishing and maintaining inspection, testing, and verification requirements for structural, architectural, and related construction works.
c. Identifies potential quality risks and recommends preventive measures and process improvements to minimize rework, defects, and non-conformances.
d. Supports the achievement of project quality objectives through effective coordination with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
2. TACTICAL: (25% of time)
a. Conducts and coordinates site inspections, material inspections, testing, and verification of completed works to ensure compliance with approved requirements.
b. Reviews and monitors Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, test reports, and quality records.
c. Identifies non-conforming works and facilitates the preparation, issuance, monitoring, and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
d. Maintains accurate and complete QA/QC documentation, inspection records, punch lists, and quality reports to support project compliance and traceability.
3. OPERATIONAL: (50% of time)
a. Performs regular site walks and inspections to monitor workmanship and verify that construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
b. Conducts or witnesses required material inspections, testing, and verification activities for construction works and materials.
c. Coordinates with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project personnel to address quality concerns, inspection requirements, and corrective actions.
d. Monitors concrete works, rebar installation, formworks, masonry, waterproofing, finishes, and other construction activities for compliance with quality requirements.
e. Provides timely quality-related guidance and recommendations to resolve site issues and prevent recurrence of defects.
f. Maintains continuous monitoring of site quality performance and supports the project team in achieving required quality standards and timely completion.
