Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in quality assurance/control in plastics or packaging.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop, implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures to meet regulatory standards and customer requirements
• Conduct regular inspections and testing on raw materials, production processes and finished goods to identify and resolve any quality issues
• Analyze quality data and generate reports to track and monitor production quality metrics
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
• Train and supervise quality assurance technicians and operators to uphold quality standards
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain detailed quality records and documentation for auditing purposes

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the plastics or packaging industry
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity
• Strong technical knowledge of quality control principles, statistical process control and root cause analysis
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in using quality control equipment and data management software
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Adaptable to changes in regulations, standards and customer requirements
• Preferable with knowledge in ISO 9001, HACCP and FSSC standards for food packaging materials
