Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a senior QA professional to lead cross-functional teams in the Philippines. You will establish and improve quality protocols for raw materials and finished products, ensuring adherence to inspection and SPC procedures.

The role requires a 5+ year background in electronics/semiconductors and a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering. You will analyze defect data, drive corrective actions, and optimize processes using Gage R&R, PCP and DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or equivalent with 5+ years in semiconductors/electronics.
• Proven leadership to manage cross-functional teams and drive QA improvements.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D, CAPA and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Establish, evaluate, revise QA protocols to inspect/test raw materials and finished products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for establishing , evaluating, revising, and applying technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test raw materials and finished products.
• Ensuring that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.
• Performing analysis and identifying trends in the inspection of finished products, raw materials and recommends corrective actions whenever necessary.
• Qualify and optimize processes through Gage R&R Studies, Process Capability Studies and Designs of Experiments.
• Participate in the investigation of failures and formulation and implementation of action plans for all internal and external corrective actions, audit findings and address MRB items in a timely manner.

Education & Experience

• A bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or its equivalents with at least 5 years of relevant work experience semiconductor or electronics / optoelectronics industry.

Skills

• Demonstrated leadership capability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
• Knowledgeable in SPC, FMEA, 8D, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and statistical analysis.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and 45001 management system.
• Proficient in using statistical software such as JMP.
• Proficiency in developing Quality Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI is a strong advantage.
• Certified Internal Auditor is preferred
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
