As a Compliance Auditor, you will independently deliver compliance audits, consultations, monitoring activities, and technical reviews across Registration, Non-Registration, and CRICOS-related projects. You will play a critical role in helping clients achieve positive regulatory outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Internal Desk Audits to assess project readiness before regulatory lodgment.
- Review compliance documentation, evidence, systems, and processes to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver structured client consultations, workshops, and training sessions on RTO compliance requirements.
- Provide practical compliance advice, recommendations, and rectification strategies tailored to client needs.
- Conduct technical compliance reviews and quality assurance activities across assigned projects.
- Support compliance monitoring and audit preparation activities.
- Prepare clear findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with consultants, project coordinators, compliance writers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge of VET, CRICOS, ELICOS, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Escalate complex, high-risk, or sensitive matters to senior team members when appropriate.
Key Selection Criteria
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, auditing, consulting, education, quality assurance, project delivery, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate consultations and prepare professional reports.
- High attention to detail and the ability to identify compliance gaps, risks, and inconsistencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, digital collaboration tools, and project management platforms.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
- Experience within Australia's Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
- Knowledge of the Standards for RTOs, CRICOS requirements, ELICOS Standards, ESOS Act, and National Code.
- Experience conducting Internal Desk Audits, compliance monitoring activities, or rectification projects.
- Exposure to registration, re-registration, CRICOS, or add-to-scope applications.
- Experience facilitating workshops, consultations, or client training sessions.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to colleagues on compliance matters.
