Job summary

Prifood Corporation in Cebu City, Philippines, seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist with a BS Food Technology and frontline QA experience to ensure product quality and safety across production.

You will conduct sampling, sensory testing, monitor shelf life, verify SOPs, maintain batch records, and drive GMP/HACCP compliance while communicating findings and improving QA systems.

Qualifications

• BS Food Technology or related degree required.
• Experience in QA and sensory evaluation preferred.
• Physically and mentally fit with good communication and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in ISO certified company.
• Familiar with GMP, Food Safety, Sanitation and HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Validates materials and parameters used for production.
• Conducts consistent sampling and inspection including physical, chemical and sensory testing of in-process materials and products.
• Monitors shelf life of products for sensory attributes.
• Validates SOPs are consistently implemented.
• Provides timely feedback on quality variations and possible contaminants.
• Ensures batch records and reference samples are maintained.
• Validates consistent cleaning, sanitation and GMP compliance.
• Conducts FG freshness and flavor concentrates audits to check status of items.
• Ensures timely submission of required reports.
• Assists in development or enhancement of QA systems and procedures.

Job Qualifications:

• College graduate preferably BS Food Technology.

• Preferably with working knowledge or experience in quality assurance work and food sensory evaluation.

• Physically and mentally fit preferably assertive, proactive, open minded, with good communication skills and can work with less supervision

• Experience in an ISO certified company.

• Familiar with GMP, Food Safety, Sanitation and Hygiene& HACCP practices

Job Responsibilities:

• Validates the accuracy of specified materials and parameters used for production.

• Conducts consistent and timely sampling and inspection such as physical, chemical and sensory testing of in process materials and products.

• Monitors the shelf life of product as to its sensory attributes.

• Validates if SOP’s are consistently implemented.

• Timely feedback any in process materials and product quality variations, any possible physical, chemical and biological contaminants.

• Ensures that batch records and reference samples are maintained.

• Validates the consistent implementation of cleaning, sanitation and GMP standards.

• Conducts FG freshness and flavor concentrates audit to check the status such items,

• Ensures timely and consistent submission of required reports.
