Job summary

Royu Industrial Corporation is seeking a PVC Chemist (R&D) in Calumpit, Bulacan to develop new PVC formulations and ensure product quality for wires and plastics. You will conduct comparative studies, test formulations, and qualify new materials for performance and cost targets.

The role reports to the QMS and Quality Manager and features a 5-day work week in a full-time capacity. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to drive quality improvements and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or similar.
• PRC license is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in SPC and FMEA is a plus.
• Good project management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of the extrusion process is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop optimum formulations and dimensions for PVC pipes and other plastic products.
• Manage the life cycle of PVC and plastic materials, including compounding, pelletizing, testing, and material recovery.
• Ensure that raw materials and finished products conform to applicable quality and product standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce costs through formulation improvement and scrap reduction.
• Qualify new products and evaluate cost-effective raw materials and material alternatives.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to troubleshoot material and product-related issues and implement appropriate solutions.
