Job summary

Bricolage Group of Companies seeks a procurement professional to plan, source, and manage channels’ material goods, tools and services for sale in chain stores, ensuring the lowest cost with top service and support.

You will analyze demand, negotiate supplier contracts, lead house and specialty brand sourcing, oversee procure‑to‑pay, monitor inventory turnover, and coordinate with retail teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate product data in the POS system.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement planning and supplier selection.

• Knowledge of inventory control and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, select and source goods, tools and services for sale in chain stores to secure the least cost with maximum service.
• Understands customer demand, conducts market and price surveys, analyzes sales trends and buying patterns.
• Initiates development and sourcing of house brands or specialty brands to differentiate offerings and profitability.
• Supplier development and relationship management including contracts negotiations and maximizing supplier terms.
• Defines and oversees procure-to-pay processes of channels.
• Monitors inventory turnover and collaborates with Retail Marketing to influence cash flow.
• Supplier development and management to secure best prices, terms and support.
• Establish and implement selection processes and reordering system.
• Initiate ordering and movement of goods from supplier to stores ensuring on-time delivery and correct quantity and quality.
• Lead coordination to upload product information, description and costs into the POS system and communicate to retail sites.
• Monitor and improve documentation and approval processes from ordering to payment of goods and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, select and source channels' material goods, tools and/or equipment and services for sale in chain stores so that the business unit is able to secure the least cost at maximum service and support (both technical and marketing) from its suppliers.

• Understands customer demand (price, quality and availability) conducts market and price surveys, analyzing sales trends, buying patterns, price movements, product introductions/innovations and reacting to changes in demand integral to the planning and selection of product assortment.

• Initiates and implements the development and sourcing of house brands or specialty brands that will serve as differentiator of the store's offering and enhance the business' profitability.

• Supplier development and relationship management including contracts negotiations and maximizing supplier terms.

• Defines and oversees the procure-to-pay (or purchasing and vendor management) processes of channels.

• Monitors inventory turnover and collaborates with Retail Marketing to ensure movement of products procured thereby influencing cash flow management.

• Supplier development and management to secure the best prices, terms and support;

• Establish and implement selection processes and reordering system.

• Initiate the ordering and movement of goods from the supplier to store's warehouses or retail outlets ensuring that these are delivered on time and of the right quantity and quality ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Takes the lead in coordinating with relevant units within the team to ensure upload of product information, description and costs into the POS system as well as the delivery of the same to the retail sites or branches.

• Responsible for the strict monitoring and implementation as well as improvement of documentation and approval processes from ordering to delivery to payment of goods and services procured.
