Job summary

Integrated Packaging Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage daily purchasing activities and coordinate with local and offshore suppliers to review contracts and prices.

You will monitor delivery timelines, maintain purchase records, ensure quality standards, and collaborate with QA to audit supplier documentation while seeking cost reductions and process improvements.

• Proactively seek new suppliers to broaden vendor master list.
• Collaborate with internal customers to assess risk and ensure timely decisions.
• Maintain purchase records and related documentation.
• Ensure procured goods meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with QA to obtain audit documents and certifications.
• Prepare cost estimates and perform supplier cost comparisons.
• Prepare and submit import documents to release goods on time.
• Work on improving purchasing systems and processes.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.

• Proactively seek out potential suppliers to broaden our vendor master list.
• Able to collaborate with internal customer for sound purchasing decision, assess risk or communicate issues or delays that will affect our overall business performance.
• Ensure proper maintenance of purchase records and related purchasing documentation.
• Ensure that all procured goods and services meet the required quality standards of the company.
• Partners with QA Department to ensure suppliers submits audit related documents and certification.
• Prepare cost estimates and conduct supplier cost comparison and analysis.
• Prepare and submit correct and complete import documents to release goods in a timely manner.
• Work to improve purchasing systems and processes.
• Performs task assigned from time to time.
