Job summary

Asiatel Outsourcing is seeking a seasoned Financial Reporting Manager / Controller to provide hands-on oversight of internal accounting and financial reporting and to lead external client engagements from our Manila hub.

The role requires strong IFRS and public-company reporting experience, prior Big Four Manager experience, excellent technical judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships while mentoring the accounting team.

Qualifications

• CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting designation.
• 6-8+ years of relevant accounting and audit experience, including Big Four Manager level.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience auditing publicly listed companies.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, disclosures and consolidations.
• Understanding of external audit process and public-company reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to research technical accounting issues and produce clear accounting memoranda.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Review and finalize monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures under IFRS.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, consolidation schedules and working papers.
• Provide financial reporting to Asiatel and external clients; liaise with client CFOs and finance teams.
• Coordinate with external auditors; manage audit requests and review audit support.
• Supervise, mentor and review work prepared by accounting staff.
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues; prepare accounting memoranda.
• Drive improvements to accounting policies, reporting processes and internal controls.
• Manage multiple client engagements and reporting deliverables for timely, accurate delivery.
