Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced Associate Public Affairs Director to lead the company's government relations, regulatory strategy, licensing support, and public policy initiatives in the Philippines.

The role acts as the primary liaison between executive leadership and key government agencies, safeguarding regulatory compliance and supporting growth in the highly regulated digital financial services sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or Public Administration.
• Filipino national.
• 8–12 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or related fields.
• Experience with FinTech, Financial Services, or Digital Lending preferred.
• Strong network with SEC, BSP, CIC, NPC, NBI, PNP and other authorities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Professional English proficiency mandatory.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute government relations and public policy strategy.
• Build relationships with regulators, legislators, and industry bodies.
• Advise executives on regulatory risk and licensing matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting digital lending.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance on regulatory alignment.
• Represent the company in regulatory forums and stakeholder meetings.
• Lead crisis communication for regulatory or reputation issues.
• Ensure data privacy, AML, and consumer protection compliance implications.
