Job summary

Confidential FinTech in the Philippines seeks an Associate Public Affairs Director to lead government relations, regulatory strategy, licensing support, and public policy initiatives across the country.

You will liaise with executive leadership and key government agencies, ensuring regulatory compliance and facilitating long-term business growth in a highly regulated digital financial services sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, or related field.
• Filipino national.
• 8–12 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Communications, or Public Policy.
• Proven leadership in FinTech, Financial Services, Digital Lending, Banking, Telecommunications, or Technology industries.
• Extensive experience engaging with Philippine government agencies and financial regulators.
• Strong network across SEC, BSP, CIC, NPC, NBI, PNP and other government bodies.
• Strong English proficiency; able to manage confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute government relations, regulatory affairs, and public policy strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, legislators, and industry associations.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory authorities including the SEC, BSP, CIC, NPC, NBI, and PNP.
• Monitor legislative developments and regulatory changes affecting digital lending and financial services.
• Advise executives on regulatory risks, licensing matters, and public policy developments.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to align with Philippine financial regulations and AML, data privacy laws.
• Lead government engagement initiatives, regulatory communications, industry forums, and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop crisis communication strategies for regulatory or public affairs issues.
