Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced executive to lead public affairs, regulatory engagement, and government relations in the Philippines. The candidatemust manage relationships with regulators and legislators, ensuring compliance and strategic policy direction for the digital financial services sector.

The role requires extensive interaction with SEC, BSP, CIC, NPC, NBI, and PNP, and guides licensing, AML, and data privacy compliance while coordinating with Legal and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
• Filipino national.
• 8–12 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Communications, or Public Policy.
• Proven leadership in FinTech, Financial Services, Digital Lending, Banking, Telecommunications, or Technology.
• Extensive experience engaging with Philippine government agencies and financial regulators.
• Strong network across SEC, BSP, CIC, NPC, NBI, PNP, and other government institutions.
• Deep knowledge of Philippine financial regulations, digital lending, consumer protection, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong executive presence with stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• High integrity and ability to manage confidential matters.
• Professional English proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the government's relations, regulatory affairs, and public policy strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, legislators, and associations.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory authorities including SEC, BSP, CIC, NPC, NBI, and PNP.
• Monitor legislative developments and regulatory updates in digital lending and financial services.
• Advise leadership on regulatory risks, licensing matters, and public policy.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to align with financial regulations and AML.
• Lead government engagement initiatives, regulatory communications, and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop crisis communication strategies for regulatory or public affairs issues.
