Job summary

Chan-Toei Properties Inc. is seeking a Property Engineer to support the Head of Community Operations in maintaining, safety, and infrastructure across Hana Garden Villas and Hana Commercial Area.

You will ensure building systems, grounds, and shared amenities operate reliably and meet quality standards for homeowners and tenants. You will coordinate daily maintenance, manage contractors, track work orders, and help control project costs while complying with local safety rules and building codes

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field.
• 1–2 years of property/facility management experience.
• Understanding of basic building systems and safety requirements.
• Ability to use software to track maintenance tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance strategies with the Head of Community Operations.
• Direct preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems.
• Manage outside contractors, landscapers, and on-site staff.
• Walk properties to spot safety hazards and urgent fixes.
• Track maintenance budget and control project costs.
• Ensure compliance with local safety rules and building codes.

We are looking for a Property Engineer to support our Head of Community Operations in overseeing the technical maintenance, safety, and infrastructure of both our premier residential and commercial spaces. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and shared amenities operate seamlessly, comply with safety regulations, and deliver a high-quality environment for our homeowners and business tenants.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the Head of Community Operations to execute daily maintenance strategies, coordinate facility repairs, and implement long-term capital improvement plans for both residential and commercial areas.
• Direct the preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems like cooling, plumbing, and electricity.
• Manage outside contractors, landscapers, and on-site maintenance staff to ensure quality work.
• Walk the properties regularly to spot safety hazards or things that need immediate fixing.
• Help track the maintenance budget and keep project costs under control.
• Answer repair requests and resolve maintenance issues for both residents of Hana Garden Villas and business tenants in the Hana Commercial Area.
• Make sure all buildings and projects follow local safety rules and building codes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a similar field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience managing properties or facilities (experience with both homes and businesses is a plus).
• Good understanding of how basic building systems work.
• Ability to use computer software to track maintenance tasks and projects.
• Great communication skills to work easily with business owners, homeowners, and staff.
