Review contractor billings and proposals and recommend payments.
Document all activities, directives, weather, inspections and site events.
Update standard site procedures and design checklists to improve methods.
Maintain organized project document files.
Weekly reports on construction status, manpower, equipment, weather and materials.
Highlight problems and implemented or recommended solutions.
Other operations-related matters.
Safeguard company properties and site equipment.
Keep the site secure from intruders, squatters and third parties.

Job description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and supervise the construction works by regular coordination and inspections to ensure that all contractors are working within standards, approved specifications and quality.
Issue formal site instructions, monitor field problems and recommend practical technical solutions on issues affecting construction activities;
Ensure timely accomplishment of all construction activities based on the working plans including prerequisites such as surveying, additional planning, government agencies’ approvals, and other administrative works affecting implementation of the projects.
Controls construction issues by regular review of the plans and have potential problems anticipated to ensure projects are within timetable and projected cost;
Make conscious efforts to reduce cost in terms of closely analyzing and evaluating prepared architectural and engineering plans and designs and gives recommendations on possible reduction of cost of materials, labor and time;
Prepare project detailed control estimates - as required, for better negotiations with contractors, suppliers and bidders;
Prepare engineering and supplementary plans as required by the necessity of fulfilling the overall requirements of assigned projects;
Review and evaluate contractors' billings and proposals based on regular appraisal of project accomplishment and submit recommendations for processing of payments;
Document all activities including issuances, directives, and events (weather, special inspections, major site activities, accidents, etc.);
Notes down and updates standard site operating procedures, design checklists, etc., to continually improve construction methods, techniques and procedures;
Exert diligent effort to keep an organized file of all project documents;
Report on a weekly basis of the following:
Status of construction, including summaries of manpower, equipment, weather, and materials’ deliveries
Construction related problems and implemented/recommended solutions
Other matters pertaining to Operations
Responsible in safekeeping of all company properties, materials, tools, equipments stored in the site (when applicable).
Responsible in keeping the site (in coordination with the site representatives) from intruder, squatter and third party claimant.
Other tasks that may be assigned to him from time to time.
