Job summary

Our Clients in the Philippines is seeking a Project Risk & Governance Analyst to strengthen risk visibility and governance across projects. You will work with project teams and leadership to identify, document, track, and report risks, issues, actions, and dependencies using governance processes and tools.

The role involves leading small projects, supporting governance meetings, and developing dashboards and reports.

Job description

Role Purpose

The Project Risk & Governance Analyst supports the organisation’s risk management and governance framework by ensuring risks, issues, actions, decisions, and dependencies are effectively identified, documented, tracked, and reported through established governance processes and tools.

Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and leadership, the role ensures that risk information is accurately maintained, governance forums are effectively supported, mitigation activities are monitored, and project and operational risks are properly captured within a governance tracking tool (e.g., Jira Service Management or equivalent system).

The role also leads or supports small-scale projects and improvement initiatives, particularly those focused on risk reduction, governance enhancement, operational effectiveness, and process improvement. This position is suited to someone with experience in project management, PMO, governance, or risk management who can work across multiple stakeholders to provide visibility, challenge assumptions, and ensure proactive risk and issue management.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management

• Support the execution of the organisation’s established riskmanagement framework and processes.
• Identify, document, assess, and track risks across projects and operational activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk registers within Jira Service Management (JSM).
• Ensure project risks are regularly reviewed, updated, and appropriately escalated when required.
• Monitor risk mitigation plans and follow up with risk owners to ensure timely completion of actions.
• Track emerging risks, issues, dependencies, and control gaps across initiatives.
• Support risk review sessions and workshops with stakeholders across the business.
• Assist in preparing risk summaries, trend analysis, and reporting for leadership forums.

Governance

• Coordinate governance activities and support governance meetings and review forums.
• Maintain logs for risks, issues, actions, decisions, and dependencies (RAIDD logs).
• Ensure governance artifacts, reports, and documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Support adherence to internal governance standards, policies, and audit requirements.
• Track completion of governance actions and agreed remediation activities.
• Prepare governance packs, dashboards, and reporting materials for leadership and stakeholders.

Project Delivery

• Lead small-scale projects and improvement initiatives from initiation through to completion.
• Support project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting activities.
• Manage project risks, issues, actions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure delivery of project objectives and outcomes.
• Support implementation of recommendations arising from risk assessments, audits, and governance reviews.

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Produce regular risk and governance reports, dashboards, and status updates.
• Provide insights into project and operational risk exposure.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure timely updates to risks, actions, and mitigation plans.
• Support leadership decision-making through accurate and structured reporting.
• Build effective working relationships across project teams and business functions.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve risk reporting, governance processes, and project tracking practices.
• Contribute to enhancements within Jira Service Management (JSM) and related governance tools.
• Support lessons learned activities and implementation of process improvements.
• Promote proactive risk management and governance best practices across teams.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Required

• 3–5 years of experience in risk management, PMO,projectmanagement, governance, or related disciplines
• Experience maintaining risk registers and tracking risk mitigation activities
• Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks
• Experience using Jira Service Management (JSM) or similar risk/governance tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across multiple business functions

Preferred

• Experience in PMO, governance, project delivery, or operational risk environments
• Familiarity with audit, compliance, or control management activities
• Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools
• PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation, or equivalent project management certification
• Risk management certifications or formal training is an advantage
