We are seeking an experienced Strategic Project Governance & Risk Advisor to provide high-level governance oversight and executive counsel across our Project Management Office (PMO) initiatives!

Role Overview

In this advisory role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor on governance frameworks, risk oversight, and portfolio assurance across major infrastructure and project workstreams. You will provide expert guidance, independent governance assessments, and high-level strategic recommendations to safeguard project value and drive organizational alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Governance Strategy & Frameworks: Advise on and establish overarching PMO governance standards, decision-making frameworks, and strategic alignment principles across the portfolio.
• High-Level Strategic Assurance: Provide independent governance assessments, strategic health checks across workstreams, and recommended interventions to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
• Strategic Risk Counsel: Provide high-level risk guidance, evaluate macro delivery risks, and advise senior leadership on the strategic impacts of major change requests on scope, budget, and commercial direction.
• Executive & EXCOM Advisory: Deliver strategic executive briefings, macro risk insights, and high-level governance guidance directly to senior management and EXCOM.

Qualifications

• Experienced Advisor: 8-10 years of experience in strategic governance oversight, risk advisory, and high-level business transformation within major infrastructure or complex project environments.
• Education & Background: Graduate of a four (4) year course, preferably Industrial Engineering, Business, Project Management, Management, or a related discipline; relevant post-graduate training in governance, risk management, business excellence, process improvement, or compliance is preferred.
• Tech-Forward & Analytical: Proficient with modern AI productivity tools, Google Workspace, MS Office, and digital collaboration platforms to streamline analysis and executive presentation.
• Strategic Communicator: Exceptional critical thinking, stakeholder coordination, and root-cause analysis skills paired with high professional integrity.
