Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an IT Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver technology projects from initiation through completion. You will work with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and others to ensure delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality across SDLC, IT infrastructure, data, and ERP initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's in IT/CS/Engineering or related field, proven project management experience in corporate environments, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation to closure, ensuring scope, time, and budget alignment.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, resources, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including business users, developers, infrastructure engineers, data specialists, SAP/ERP teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary coordinator between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests with proper escalation.
• Monitor progress and provide regular status updates to management.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, requirements discussions, planning sessions, steering committees.
• Ensure deliverables meet requirements, quality standards, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, deployment, implementation, and transition activities as applicable.

About the role

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology projects from initiation through completion. The role works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and other project participants to ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality, and organizational standards. The IT Project Manager may manage projects across various technology domains, including Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, data and analytics, enterprise applications, SAP, system implementations, integrations, and technology transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control through successful closure.

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, resources, and dependencies.

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and other project documentation.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams consisting of business users, developers, infrastructure engineers, data specialists, SAP/ERP teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary point of coordination between business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution.

• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to management and stakeholders.

• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, requirements discussions, planning sessions, and steering committee meetings.

• Ensure project deliverables meet defined requirements, quality standards, and acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, implementation, and transition activities as applicable.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• Proven experience managing IT projects in a corporate or enterprise environment.

• Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.

• Working knowledge of project management methodologies and SDLC concepts.

• Experience with project planning, scheduling, risk management, issue management, stakeholder management, and project reporting.

• Strong understanding of IT concepts and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience with project management tools and collaboration platforms.
