John Clements Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for the PMO to lead end-to-end healthcare initiatives, including system implementations, operational improvements, and data projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

As a Project Manager within the Project Management Office (PMO) you are responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of healthcare initiatives, including system implementations, operational improvements, and enterprise data projects, while managing multiple workstreams and delivering executive-level reporting. Success is measured by adherence to scope, timeline, and budget, along with effective risk mitigation and stakeholder satisfaction. The role emphasizes structured PMO methodology, cross-functional collaboration, and strong ownership of project outcomes.
Lead and manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity in alignment with UMP PMO methodology and standards.
Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery against approved timelines and objectives
Define project team structure, roles, and responsibilities in collaboration with project sponsors and key stakeholders
Develop and maintain all project artifacts, including project plans, schedules, risk and issue logs, action trackers, budgets, RACI matrices, and status reports
Facilitate regular project status meetings and ensure consistent, high-quality reporting to PMO/IMO leadership and executive stakeholders
Partner with project owners and stakeholders to define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
Build and manage detailed project schedules, including milestones, dependencies, resource assignments, and critical path activities
Monitor project performance, track deliverables, and ensure accountability across internal teams and external partners
Identify risks, issues, and potential roadblocks; develop mitigation plans and elevate appropriately to ensure timely resolution
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with contractual deliverables, timelines, and performance expectations
Lead project closeout activities, including lessons learned, to drive continuous improvement across PMO practices
Analyze business requirements, vendor statements of work, and related documentation to ensure clarity and alignment across project deliverables
Collaborate across departments to ensure coordination and successful execution of integration and operational initiatives
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within project teams
Escalate critical issues and risks in a timely and structured manner
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
3–5 years of experience in healthcare operations strongly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
Experience in Information Technology or system implementations preferred
PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred
Healthcare experience; EMR/EHR implementation experience (e.g., Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks) strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, Visio)
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
High attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on deadlines and outcomes
