Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company seeks a Project Manager BESS based in Spain to lead European Battery Energy Storage System projects from contract review through installation and handover.

You will coordinate customers, EPCs, contractors, factories, and logistics, supervise on-site activities, read electrical drawings, manage risks, ensure quality and safety, and travel frequently across Europe to deliver reliable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
• Typical 2–6 years of experience in project execution, site coordination, installation management, commissioning, or technical project delivery within energy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the execution of BESS projects across Europe, supporting activities from installation through testing, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.
• Oversee on-site installation activities, ensuring work follows approved project plans, schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and expedite risks, delays, technical issues, quality concerns, and deviations.
• Serve as the primary technical coordination point during installation and commissioning activities.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, system layouts, and other technical documentation.
• Verify that approved electrical designs and system requirements are correctly implemented on site.
• Support factory and site testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final project acceptance.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager BESS based in Spain.

As Project Manager BESS, you will support the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System projects across Europe, from contract review through installation, commissioning, testing, and handover. You will coordinate customers, EPCs, contractors, factories, logistics teams, and internal technical stakeholders to keep projects on track. Acting as a key technical coordination point, you will help ensure electrical designs, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements are properly implemented. You will monitor progress, identify risks, and drive timely resolution of technical and execution challenges. Your work will directly contribute to reliable, compliant, and high-quality energy infrastructure across European markets. This is a hands-on, execution-focused opportunity for an electrical or energy professional who thrives in complex, site-based environments and is comfortable with frequent travel.

Accountabilities

• Coordinate the execution of BESS projects across Europe, supporting activities from installation through testing, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.
• Oversee on-site installation activities, ensuring work follows approved project plans, schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and expedite risks, delays, technical issues, quality concerns, and deviations.
• Serve as the primary technical coordination point during installation and commissioning activities.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, system layouts, and other technical documentation.
• Verify that approved electrical designs and system requirements are correctly implemented on site.
• Support technical troubleshooting and resolution of issues arising during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Supervise installation contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical standards, quality expectations, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate customers, EPCs, contractors, Technical Service, Presales, factory, logistics, and other project stakeholders to maintain alignment.
• Review project contracts and translate technical, commercial, delivery, testing, and handover requirements into actionable project activities.
• Monitor contractual milestones and deliverables, including FAT, SAT, commissioning, acceptance, and handover requirements.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final project acceptance.
• Ensure project documentation, site reports, observations, deviations, corrective actions, and handover materials are complete and properly maintained.
• Coordinate with factory and logistics stakeholders to support compliant testing and shipment activities, including FAT validation before shipment.
• Promote safe working practices and monitor compliance with applicable electrical, technical, quality, and safety requirements.
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to improve future project execution and reduce rework or technical deviations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
• Typically2–6 years of experiencein project execution, site coordination, installation management, commissioning, or technical project delivery within the energy sector.
• Practical experience with BESS, ESS, photovoltaic systems, power infrastructure, substations, electrical installations, or related energy projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation activities, testing, commissioning, and technical project execution.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience working with contractors, EPC companies, or within site-based project environments.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to align multiple internal and external parties.
• Ability to supervise contractors, monitor execution, and drive progress toward project milestones.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in demanding, fast-moving project environments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across different project phases.
• Professional working proficiency inEnglish at C1 level.
• Additional European language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to undertakevery frequent travel across Europe, including extended periods at customer and project sites.
