You've managed dozens of IT projects — but you're tired of firefighting with spreadsheets and gut instinct. What you will be doing

• Leading end-to-end IT project delivery using AI-augmented planning, scheduling, and risk management — ensuring every project lands on time, on budget, and on scope.
• Integrating GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and AI-powered PM platforms (JIRA, Smartsheet) into daily workflows to automate reporting, surface predictive insights, and accelerate decision-making.
• Driving continuous process optimization by designing and implementing new AI-enhanced project management methodologies that the broader team adopts.
• Analyzing project data and predictive analytics to proactively identify bottlenecks, forecast delivery risks, and present data-backed recommendations to stakeholders.
• Managing escalations with speed and precision, resolving blockers quickly and building systemic fixes so the same issues don\'t recur.

What you will NOT be doing

• Babysitting status updates manually — you\'ll build and leverage automated dashboards and AI-generated reports instead of chasing people for updates.
• Running projects in a vacuum — you won\'t be a "ticket jockey" with no strategic input; you\'ll have real ownership of outcomes and process innovation.
• Using outdated tools and waterfall-only methods — we invest in modern tooling and expect you to push the boundaries of how AI can improve delivery.
• Sitting in back-to-back status meetings all day — we protect maker time and expect you to spend meaningful hours on analysis, optimization, and hands-on problem solving.
• Writing 50-page project plans nobody reads — documentation is lean, actionable, and increasingly AI-assisted.

Responsibilities

• Own full project lifecycle (initiation → closure) for multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality KPIs.
• Build and maintain AI-enhanced project plans, schedules, and resource allocations in JIRA and/or Smartsheet.
• Produce weekly predictive risk and status reports using data analytics and AI-generated insights; present findings to leadership and clients.
• Design, pilot, and scale new AI-integrated PM processes that measurably improve efficiency, accuracy, or stakeholder satisfaction.
• Manage project budgets, track burn rates, and forecast costs with data-driven precision.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, QA, design, and business stakeholders.
• Handle escalations decisively — resolve issues within SLA and implement root-cause fixes.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction scores by proactively communicating progress, risks, and trade-offs.

Requirements

• PMP Certification (active and in good standing).
• 3+ years of project management experience in the IT industry, managing software development, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency with JIRA and/or Smartsheet for scheduling, resource allocation, tracking, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience using GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar) to improve personal or team productivity, with demonstrated integration of these tools into real-world workflows.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills — comfortable working with project data, predictive analytics, and translating numbers into decisions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities without dropping quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can present to executives and write a clear Slack message with equal ease.
• Process improvement mindset — track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing better ways of working.

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional AI/ML platforms or automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate, Python scripting for data analysis).
• Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent) in addition to PMP.
• Background in prompt engineering or building custom GPTs/agents for project management use cases.
• Experience managing projects that directly involved AI/ML product development or deployment.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud infrastructure projects (AWS, Azure, GCP).
