Job summary

RoomFour is seeking a Construction Project Manager & Estimator to lead projects from estimation through completion. You will complete take-offs, analyse quotes, and manage trades and scheduling to deliver premium renovations and extensions for high-end residential projects.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, highly organised, and fluent in English, with experience interpreting Australian residential plans and a proactive ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Manager in building/construction projects.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs and quotes with high accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal English for client and trades communication.
• Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Wunderbuild or willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

RoomFour is a leading contracting company based in Melbourne, specialising in high-end renovations, extensions, and luxury homes for the upper-scale residential market. We are expanding our team and are looking for a Construction Project Manager & Estimator who is detail-oriented, highly organised, and driven to manage and deliver exceptional projects from estimation through to completion.

Key responsibilities

Completing take-offs from plans and specifications

Gathering and analysing trade quotes, checking them against scope, plans, and specs

Generating purchase orders and cross-checking invoices against them

Liaising with accounting team on payments

Booking trades and maintaining the project schedule

Coordinating trades throughout each project

Keeping clients updated on progress and answering their questions

Liaising regularly with Site Supervisor for on-site updates

Reviewing site diaries and completing timesheets

Working efficiently in Wunderbuild as the central project management system

About you

Prior experience as a Project Manager or Construction Admin/VA in the building/construction industry

Strong attention to detail and comfort working with plans, specs, and quotes

Confident, professional written and verbal English for client and trade communication

Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks without close supervision

Experience with Wunderbuild highly regarded (or confidence picking up new project management software quickly)

Ability to interpret and work with Australian residential construction plans
