Job Description
The Project-in-Charge involves planning, coordinating, and supervising all site activities to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. The Project-in-Charge will lead the site team, coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and manage resources effectively to deliver high-quality mechanical installations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead day-to-day mechanical installation activities on-site.
- Ensure execution of works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Coordinate site works with other trades and subcontractors to avoid conflicts and delays.
- Prepare and monitor daily work schedules and manpower allocation.
- Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment required for the job are available and properly used.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor usage and prevent wastage of materials on-site.
- Supervise site foremen, skilled workers, and laborers to ensure quality workmanship and safety.
- Provide technical guidance and on-site problem-solving support to the team.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce discipline and site rules.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance
- Monitor the quality of work and ensure compliance with project standards and client specifications.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate with QA/QC engineers for testing and approval of completed works.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare and submit daily site reports, progress updates, and issue logs.
- Attend coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and main contractors.
- Communicate project issues, delays, and risks to the Project Manager promptly.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Airconditioning).
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering.
- Willing to relocate or commute.
