About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Tarlac, Central Luzon. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction operations by providing accurate cost assessments and project evaluations that directly impact our bidding strategy, project profitability and client relationships. Your expertise will be essential in helping us deliver competitive proposals whilst maintaining our high standards of quality and reliability in the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analysing project specifications, architectural drawings and technical requirements
• Research and analyse material costs, labour rates and equipment rental fees from various suppliers and subcontractors
• Utilise estimating software and tools to develop accurate project budgets and financial forecasts
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to gather necessary project information and clarify scope details
• Review contracts and tender documents to identify potential cost variables and risk factors
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and cost breakdowns for submission to clients and project managers
• Monitor and track actual project costs against initial estimates to identify variances and areas for improvement
• Conduct site visits when necessary to verify measurements, assess site conditions and gather additional estimating data
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, quotations and historical cost data for future reference and analysis
• Communicate estimates and recommendations clearly to internal teams and external clients

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Project Estimator or in a similar estimating role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, labour practices and industry standards
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and technical specifications accurately
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders
• Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting tight deadlines
• Knowledge of local construction regulations, building codes and compliance requirements in the Philippines
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction estimating, quantity surveying or related fields are highly valued
• Familiarity with different types of construction projects, including commercial, residential and infrastructure work, would be advantageous
