Job summary

Recruitify HR in the Philippines is seeking a Project Engineer (Finishing & QA/QC) to implement the Quality Control Program for civil/structural and architectural works, ensuring conformance with plans and specifications.

The role requires coordinating with the Design Department, CAD operators, andCost & Schedule teams, performing QC inspections and testing, and supervising on-site finishing activities to ensure quality and timely turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Possession of professional certifications or licenses (e.g., Registered Civil Engineer, Registered Architect).
• Has a minimum of 3 years experience in construction with exposure to QA/QC.
• In-depth knowledge of project scheduling and construction project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other engineering software tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Committed to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, monitor & control architectural works (materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors).
• Coordinate with Cost & Schedule Engineer for baseline cost and schedule.
• Prepare and submit requests for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Monitor and supervise finishing and architectural works on site.
• Submit weekly finishing and architectural accomplishments.
• Coordinate architectural changes with Design Department and CAD Operator for the as-built plans.
• Conduct QC inspections and testing for finishing and architectural works.
• Turnover finishing and architectural works per plans and specifications.
• Issue Certificate of Completion and Final Acceptance of contractors.
• Oversee safety standards on site.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Cost
• Estimate, monitor & control architectural works (material, labor, equipment, & subcon)
• Production
• Coordinate with the Cost & Schedule Engineer for the preparation of the baseline cost & schedule.
• Prepare and submit request for materials, labor, equipment, & subcon.
• Monitor and supervise finishing & architectural works.
• Submit weekly finishing & architectural accomplishment.
• Coordinate architectural changes with Design Department.
• Recommend effective engineering solutions to field problems.
• Production
• Review construction plans & specifications for basic compliance with the prevailing Code and Standards of Practice.
• Coordinate architectural changes with CAD Operator for the as-built plans.
• Conduct QC inspection and testing for finishing & architectural works.
• Turnover finishing & architectural works in accordance to plans & specifications.
• Issue Certificate of Completion and Final Acceptance of contractors.
• Responsible for the evaluation of Contractor's Performance Report.

• Assist in overseeing health & safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or any related field.
• Possession of relevant professional certifications or licenses (i.e., Registered Civil Engineer, Registered Architect, etc.)
• Has a minimum of 3 years experience in construction industry, preferably with exposure to quality assurance and quality control.
• Has an in-depth knowledge of project scheduling and construction project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other engineering software tools.
