Job summary

Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling projects. You will help ensure deliverables meet the plan, schedule, budget, and client requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Electrical Engineering degree, is a licensed engineer, has at least three years of project and site management experience, and is proficient with MS Project or Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer.
• At least three years of work experience in the same field.
• Experienced in Project & Site Management.
• Proficient in MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in overall planning and control of the project.
• Monitor schedule and progress to meet objectives, timetable and budget.
• Coordinate across all departments and resources within the Project Team and the rest of the company.
• Ensure that all necessary permits are secured.
• Determine the cost of the project and provide quantitative analysis.
• Ensure that agreed parameters and metrics for the project are implemented on time.
• Serve as the representative of the Project Manager in his absence.
• Comply with safety and health standards/regulations.
• Support Environmental Management System requirements.
• Adhere to policies, Employee Code of Ethics and Conducts, and Corporate Governance.

About the role

The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager in the overall planning, organizing, and controlling of the project. He ensures that project deliverables are met according to plan, schedule, budget, and client requirement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in the overall planning, organizing, and controlling of the project

• Monitor the schedule and progress of the project and ensure the achievement of project objectives, timetable and budget through regular meetings and updates

• Coordinate across all departments within Project Team and with the rest of the company to secure information and resources and to coordinate activities

• Ensure that all necessary permits are secured

• Determine the cost of the project and provide quantitative analysis

• Ensure that agreed parameters and metrics for the project are properly and timely implemented according to plan

• Serve as the representative of the Project Manager in his absence

• Comply with the proper operating procedures of safety and health standards/regulations

• Support and implement Environmental Management System with respect to their job

• Adhere to policies/procedures, Employee Code of Ethics and Conducts, and Corporate Governance

About you

• Graduate of a Bachelor's/College degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering course

• Licensed Engineer

• At least three (3) years of work experience in the same field

• Experienced in Project & Site Management

• Proficient in the use of MS Project or Primavera P6

• Must be willing to be assigned to project sites
