Job summary

MC88 CONSTRUCTION is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer – Solar PV in the Philippines to design, size, and review solar PV systems, perform calculations, and support installation teams.

The role requires a REE with Solar PV design experience; you will produce SLDs, coordinate with site teams, and ensure compliance with PEC.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
• Must have actual Solar PV System design and installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV sizing and electrical calculations.
• Proficient in preparing SLD and electrical/solar PV plans.
• Knowledgeable in inverter, battery, cable, breaker sizing.
• Knowledge of Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and applicable standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with solar design software is a plus.
• Experience with grid-tied, hybrid, and/or off-grid solar systems preferred.
• Willing to conduct site visits and supervise/coordinate technical works.

Responsibilities

• Design and size Solar PV systems based on project requirements and site conditions.
• Perform load analysis and solar PV system calculations.
• Calculate PV array capacity, inverter sizing, battery capacity, cable sizing, voltage drop, and protection requirements.
• Prepare Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, PV layouts, and other technical drawings.
• Select appropriate solar panels, inverters, batteries, breakers, cables, and other electrical components.
• Conduct site inspections and assess electrical and solar requirements.
• Review installation plans and ensure that on-site works follow the approved design.
• Provide technical guidance to solar installation teams and electricians.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system evaluation.
• Prepare technical documents, specifications, material requirements, and project reports.

About the role
