The Project Development Assistant supports the Project Director in all phases of project development, from initial planning through to execution and completion. This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of real estate development projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Schedule and attend project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and regulatory approvals.
- Assist in the preparation of project status reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all project documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets.
- Track project expenses and prepare financial reports as required.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Support the Project Director in ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits and licenses for development projects
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to support project feasibility studies and identify development opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of market analysis reports and competitive assessments.
Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries and provide project updates as needed.
Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the Project Development team.
- Manage project calendars, schedule appointments, and organize travel arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate development, project management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with project management software and tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge of real estate development processes and industry best practices.
- Understanding of local zoning laws, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with financial analysis and budget management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in Head-Office.
- May require occasional travel to project sites and meetings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
