Job summary

The company is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to drive project delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure milestones and quality standards are met in a hybrid work setup in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Management, or equivalent.
• 5+ years IT-related experience, 2+ years in Project Management.
• Experience in mobile app development; Scrum Master is a plus.
• Background as Business Analyst or Software Engineer is a plus.

Job description

• Working closely with the development team, management, and clients to ensure the project will be able to satisfy client and company’s requirements
• Leading project planning sessions
• Facilitate decomposition of overall project scope into manageable chunks of requirements of various sizes for review and planning
• Engage team to estimate requirements , and schedule the delivery for the Project/upcoming release/sprint.
• Devise Project schedule identifying the WBS, Milestones, Activities and tasks with dependencies identified ; engage with Team and other stakeholders to derive Resource Estimate for the Project
• Managing project progress and adapting work as required
• Track the actual progress against planned activities, update project task/activity/WBS/milestones
• Manage dependencies between tasks, team members and teams
• Facilitate resolution of impending roadblocks to expedite progress.
• Identify various instances with potential to change Project Baselines on Scope/Schedule
• Estimate the impact of the change and plan to address the same using appropriate strategy.
• Obtain approval on Baseline Change requests from stakeholders and communicate appropriately
• Identify project risks and lay out detailed Risk Management plans to address them
• Regular review of the project risks to understand the current risk exposure of the project and mobilize required preventive actions
• Identify Project issues , find out the Root Cause and facilitate implementation of required corrective actions to address the issues
• Coordinating staff and internal resources
• Establish team/squad Working Agreements, solicit estimate of work from the team members, engage them into requirement review discussions, manage team assignments to various project work, respect their contribution to work, manage team conflicts constructively, remove impediments for the team, optimize the team utilization for delivery to reduce Resource overload and stress, etc.
• Engage team and other stakeholders at regular intervals for introspection

4. Stakeholder & Client Management

• Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Identify all Stakeholders to define the Stakeholder Management plan for the project
• Assess the stakeholder needs to refine the Project scope and define the Communication Management plan for the project
• Provide on-time and relevant information to cater to the information need of the stakeholders and increase transparency for the project
• Ensure adequate availability of the key stakeholders required for the project, and devise workarounds to address the challenges of inadequate availabilities
• Engage Stakeholders at appropriate events/intervals to review the outcome and identify the changes/defects required in the deliverables to be addressed, from the Acceptance testing event
• Generate and share Project status reports with Project stakeholders on agreed frequencies , and conduct regular Project Review meetings to discuss

5. Product Quality & Delivery

• Provide qualitative and quantitative feedback to the various teams involved throughout product development
• Helps with testing the product
• Suggests product path strategy to stakeholders
• Suggest new processes and policies that developers and QA can implement to ensure we’re only shipping the best possible products
• Ensure deliverables undergo formal peer review, all types of testings - and defects are closed before releasing the product/product increment to Production
• Ensure artifacts are ready on-time for various Project Stage gate reviews, engage Stakeholders for Stage gate sign-off
• Identify various areas of improvement in the areas of People, Process and Product
• Find out actionable improvement items to be included in the future scope
• Track the effectiveness of the Improvement initiatives over time

Job Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Management, or a related field or equivalent practical experience

Experience

• Must have at least 5 years of overall IT-related experience, including 2+ years of experience in Project Management
• Background in mobile app development, and basic programming fundamentals
• Experience as a Scrum Master is a plus
• Previous experience as Business Analyst or Software Engineer is a plus

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of Agile Methodology
• Must have good knowledge and Experience in the areas of Agile and Scrum - to manage the project delivery using JIRA/MS Azure / other Agile tools.
• Must be Excellent in processing and reporting information using MS Excel / Google Sheets, MS PowerPoint / Google Slides, Power BI / other Analytics and Reporting tools, etc.
• Loves helping clients launch and grow their tech products
• A self-starter who assumes responsibility for their work; accepts direction and feedback from co-workers and managers, and happily helps make anyone’s good idea a reality
• Excellent ability to communicate both in written and verbal forms is a must, fluent in English
• Candidate should demonstrate strong Project Management experience to drive projects from Initiation to Closure using Structured Project Management process
• Must demonstrate excellent Team Management, Stakeholder Management, Risk & Issue Management and problem solving skills to lead a project, while facilitating resolution of hurdles in the path

Preferred Certifications

• Relevant certifications in the area of Project Management
• Certifications on Agile & Scrum delivery (CSM/PSM/PMI-ACP/Safe Agilist etc)

Work Arrangement:

This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring two (2) days onsite at our Aseana City, Parañaque office and allowing three (3) days work from home each week
