Job summary

Quess Philippines Corp. is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead end-to-end development of software products, from user feedback to discovery sessions with engineering and design teams to model and launch a solution, ensuring strong user adoption.

The role requires ownership of the product backlog, defining the product vision, and cross-functional collaboration with business, marketing and operations for successful launches. Hybrid work with two days in office is expected.

Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 5 years in Product Management. Someone from other related disciplines that would like to shift to Product Management (i.e. Project Management, Software Development, QA, UX/UI Design) can be considered. There should be experience working with software products and projects, which includes guiding development teams, hands‑on involvement in system architecture, design, deployment, monitoring, performance and stability.

Technical Skills

• Track record of product development from conception to delivery and iteration at an Internet Product Company, having made a difference in product quality with 2+ years’ experience in online retail/eCommerce related projects
• Technical leadership experience: can delve into technical architecture decisions and explain tradeoffs; drives microservice-oriented systems and can communicate with key technical concepts
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and scrum framework best practices

Soft Skills

• Thrives in high-speed execution environments, able to make scope tradeoffs without impacting desired goal
• Strong communication skills in both persuasion and presentation; fluent in English
• Believes in meritocracy of ideas; challenges hierarchical decision‑making; drives team consensus; breaks analysis-paralysis by planning execution paths; when needed, can commit to undesired work direction
• Identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define product vision and strategy for the company's products

Duties & Responsibilities

• Become the leader in the end-to-end development of products: from gathering feedback from the users to leading the discovery sessions with engineering teams and design teams to model and launch a solution, making sure the builds are highly adopted by users
• Collaborate with the business teams to understand the problems and objectives validated and driven by data and analytics
• Responsible for the definition of the products and features. Owns the product backlog and its prioritization in collaboration with other stakeholders
• Writes the external and internal facing documentation of products and be responsible for the alignment of solutions with all stakeholders
• Ensures execution speed through prioritization: establish clear milestones with visible progress regularly, and an emphasis on quick iterations
• Collaborate with the commercial, marketing and operations teams to ensure the success of the product launch
• Establishes and augment development best practices, problem management and release engineering
• Drives a culture of excellence, commitment and ownership with good execution and continuous team and self-improvement. Mentor and challenge the team to grow personally and professionally
