Job summary

FMG + COMPANY is seeking a Projects Controls Specialist to oversee cost, schedule and risk across capital projects, focusing on design phases. You will develop budgets, manage accrual accounting and procurement, and forecast performance.

The role requires strong analytics, experience with large public or transportation projects, and proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and SharePoint. Full or part-time on-site opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in project management.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in transportation or public agency projects.
• Project controls/architecture/engineering/design/construction management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with multi-project development from concept to risk register.
• Collaborate with all parties to progress multiple projects in parallel.
• Support monthly budget and schedule performance analyses.
• Maintain project document control in client systems.
• Set up cost control systems linking accounting and reporting.
• Provide timely information to enable corrective actions.
• Ensure changes are reflected in baselines and schedule.
• Drive the project review process.
