Job summary

Synpulse seeks an experienced governance and risk professional in Manila to oversee multi-initiative governance, risk, and compliance delivery for banking and wealth management projects. You will coordinate with technology, vendors, and regulators, ensuring timely evidence gathering, remediation tracking, and issue resolution.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, regulatory support, and strong English communication, with potential PMP advantage and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in the banking, technology and/or consulting industry.
• Good understanding of core business processes and products in the private banking industry.
• Capable of applying technology principles to business.
• Experience working with delivery methodologies and governance processes, including scheduling, budget tracking, and operational oversight.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles.
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification may be advantageous.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Highly analytical and structured in problem-solving; able to quickly understand complex situations.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure governance, risk management, and strategic delivery oversight processes are effectively maintained across multiple banking and wealth management initiatives, supporting project delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational oversight.
• Drive the resolution of audit findings, security vulnerabilities, and compliance issues by working closely with technology teams, vendors, and risk stakeholders.
• Support regulatory reviews, audits, and assessments from regulators including MAS and HKMA, coordinating evidence gathering, stakeholder responses, and remediation tracking.
• Manage security and technology compliance monitoring activities, including vulnerability remediation, technology currency, SSL certificates, software licensing, and related risk items.
• Coordinate with project managers, technology teams, vendors, and risk functions to ensure audit, risk, and compliance commitments are delivered in a timely manner.
