Responsibilities

• Plan, review, and interpret engineering plans, construction drawings, technical specifications, and other project documents.
• Assist in developing construction methodologies, work plans, and schedules for efficient execution of project activities.
• Supervise, monitor, and inspect daily construction activities per plans, specifications, and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to site personnel, workers, and subcontractors on construction execution.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, milestones, and completion dates; identify delays and risks and propose actions.
• Conduct regular site inspections and measurements to ensure conformity with plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve design and construction concerns.
• Assist in final inspections and turnover of completed works per contractual requirements.
• Prepare and monitor punch lists and coordinate completion of outstanding works.

JOB SUMMARY

The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and monitoring construction projects to ensure that all engineering works are executed in accordance with approved plans, technical specifications, applicable codes, safety regulations, quality standards, and project schedules.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and Preparation of Engineering Documents

• Prepare, review, and interpret engineering plans, construction drawings, technical specifications, and other project-related documents.

• Assist in developing construction methodologies, work plans, and schedules to ensure the efficient execution of project activities.

Supervision and Monitoring of Construction Activities

• Supervise, monitor, and inspect daily construction activities to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and established engineering standards.

• Provide technical guidance and instructions to site personnel, workers, and subcontractors regarding the proper execution of construction activities.

Project Scheduling and Progress Monitoring

• Monitor construction progress against approved work schedules, milestones, and target completion dates.

• Identify delays, work constraints, and potential project risks, and recommend appropriate actions to minimize their impact.

Site Inspection and Technical Coordination

• Conduct regular site inspections, measurements, and verification of completed works to ensure conformity with engineering plans and project specifications.

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to resolve design and construction concerns.

Project Completion and Turnover

• Assist in conducting final inspections and verifying the completion of construction works in accordance with approved plans and contractual requirements.

• Prepare and monitor punch lists or deficiency lists and coordinate the completion of outstanding and corrective works.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
