Filinvest Alabang Inc. is seeking a hands-on Project Accounting and Financial Reporting professional to ensure accurate financial statements, GL management, and balance close-out for project accounts.
A BSA is required; 2+ years in project accounting is preferred; experience with Oracle or SAP and advanced Excel is desirable.
This role focuses on compliance with accounting standards and internal controls to support informed business decisions.
Hands-on experience in project accounting and financial reporting, including:
Preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement)
General Ledger (GL) management and safekeeping of project-related accounts
Account reconciliation and balance close-out
Financial analysis and variance investigation
Preparation and maintenance of supporting schedules and reports
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as the role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of reports used for business decision-making. The candidate should be able to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, validate financial data, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) is required. This role is heavily focused on project financial reporting and requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and account analysis.
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in project accounting and financial reporting. Candidates with less than two years of experience may require extensive supervision given the complexity of the role.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is an advantage but not required
Industry experience in Real Estate, Construction, or Manufacturing is highly preferred, as these industries involve project-based accounting, cost monitoring, and financial reporting with similar business complexities.
Experience using Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including the use of formulas, functions, PivotTables, lookups, and data analysis tools to efficiently prepare and analyze financial reports.
Company-specific accounting policies, internal processes, and reporting procedures.
Internal financial systems and workflows unique to the organization
