Job summary

BMS GROUP INTERNATIONAL MANPOWER RECRUITMENT SERVICES CORP. is seeking a skilled Supervisor for the Offset Printing Department to ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining print quality and compliance with ISO quality systems.

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Offset Printing Department to ensure production schedules are met.
• Plan and allocate manpower, machines, and materials based on production requirements.
• Monitor machine performance, productivity, and downtime; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure print quality meets approved specifications, color standards, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Prepress, QA, Planning, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Lead troubleshooting of printing defects such as color variation and misregistration.
• Prepare daily production, efficiency, downtime, and waste reports; train operators and staff.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, ISO quality systems and health and safety regulations.

Job Description:

• Supervise daily operations of the Offset Printing Department to ensure production schedules are achieved.
• Plan and allocate manpower, machines, and materials based on production requirements.
• Monitor machine performance, productivity, and downtime, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure print quality meets approved specifications, color standards, registration accuracy, and customer requirements.
• Review job orders, production schedules, and printing specifications before production.
• Approve press setup and first-off samples before mass production.
• Coordinate with the Prepress, Quality Assurance, Planning, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Monitor material consumption, ink usage, waste, and spoilage, and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure operators follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards.
• Lead troubleshooting of printing defects such as color variation, misregistration, smudging, and print imperfections.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with the Engineering and Maintenance Department to maximize equipment availability
• Prepare daily production, efficiency, downtime, and waste reports.
• Train, coach, and evaluate machine operators and production staff to improve performance and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO quality systems, GMP, and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
