Job Description
An offset operator sets up, operates, and maintains offset printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials, ensuring accurate color, registration, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Setup: Configure, adjust, and operate offset printing presses, including mounting plates/cylinders, filling ink fountains, and adjusting registration.
- Quality Control: Monitor production to detect defects, such as color inconsistencies or misregistration, ensuring output meets specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition and minimize downtime.
- Workflow Efficiency: Review job orders, prepare materials, and ensure the press is properly supplied with ink and paper to maintain continuous operation.
- Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot mechanical issues during production and adjust settings to correct issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Generally requires 2–3+ years of experience in offset printing.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read job orders.
- Education: High school diploma or vocational training in printing technology.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Manufacturing Industry is advantage.
- Can start ASAP.
