1. Production Operations
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet output targets.
- Ensure that production runs are completed based on schedule, quality, and quantity requirements.
- Monitor work orders, job sequences, and manpower allocation to optimize line efficiency.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, PPIC, Engineering, and QACD departments to resolve production issues.
- Coordinate manpower allocation to achieve output efficiency.
2. Quality and Process Control
- Ensure all processes meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Investigate and address product rejections or customer returns related to production.
- Coordinate with QA for product verification and corrective action.
- Monitor and implement corrective actions to reduce returns and defects.
- Maintain quality documentation in compliance with QMS.
3. Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety rules, PPE use, and hazard control measures in accordance with OHSMS and GMP.
- Conduct regular safety toolbox meetings and inspections.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and near-misses promptly and implement preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory health, safety, and environmental policies.
4. Equipment Handling and Maintenance
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of production equipment.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Department for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor machine performance and downtime; initiate root cause analysis when necessary.
- Promote operational discipline and accountability among operators in equipment handling.
5. Material and Inventory Management
- Monitor material usage, waste, and balance inventory against job orders.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions and minimize variances.
- Coordinate with the warehouse for timely issuance of raw materials and finished goods delivery scheduled.
6. Forecasting
- Review and verify production demand based on PPIC orders and production historical data.
- Authorize forecasts for required materials, manpower, and machine capacity.
- Approve production schedules to meet targets and delivery timelines.
- Review forecast vs. actual production and adjust plans accordingly.
7. Scrap and Waste Reduction
- Track and record scrap and end cuts of packaging.
- Analyze causes of scrap and assist in developing preventive measures.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and rework.
8. Manpower Supervision and Development
- Supervise section heads, ensuring productivity and compliance with work standards.
- Conduct performance evaluation and coaching sessions.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and a culture of continuous improvement.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives.
- Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Lead or support cross-functional improvement projects to achieve production KPIs.
