Job summary

Prifood Corporation in Davao City seeks a production shift supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and quality targets. You will drive productivity, manage schedules, coordinate manpower, ensure safe operation of equipment, and maintain GMP/HACCP compliance.

You will also supervise staff, train new hires, and prepare production reports to monitor performance. Strong knowledge of QA, ISO processes, and cost control will help sustain food safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

College graduate in Food technology, Engineering (EE, ME & IE) or its equivalency.
Three years as lead operator and three years in supervisory capacity.
Knowledge of raw materials.
Knowledge of human resource principles and practices.
Knowledge of machines and tools.
Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices.
Solid computer skills and databases.
Quality Inspection Experience.
Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of quality systems and standards. Experience in an ISO certified company. Knowledgeable with GMP and HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

Take full responsibility of the shift to ensure smooth production and meet targets.
Drive productivity and continuous improvement through sound management practices.
Prepare, implement and adjust production schedules.
Effective manpower planning (production schedules & shutdowns).
Ensure availability of manpower required before actual production.
Organize workflow and maximize workload of production personnel.
Ensure safe/proper use of production equipment & schedule regular maintenance.
Ensure production equipment operate within quality and cost – effectiveness.
Ensure availability of material resources required before actual production.
Monitor production output based on Inspection Plans (IP).
Submit reports on performance and progress.
Operate machines within established process specifications.
Troubleshoot and quickly resolve production method or machine issues.
Maximize efficiencies, achieve targeted raw material usages & minimize yield losses.
Take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with quality specifications, processes and procedures.
Provide leadership direction to production personnel on a daily basis.
Ensure production personnel receive proper coaching and training.
Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
Ensure production personnel are well-trained and committed to meeting Food Safety, Hygiene & Sanitation/GMP, HACCP, Quality and Production requirements.
Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
Sustain communication throughout the production process.
Perform administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure off-line and on-line documentation requirements are timely complied with. Prepare and maintain production reports.
Take responsibility for production budgets.
Consistently enforce ISO approved process flow and procedures and standards to maximize production performance and minimize quality complaint.
Monitors production lines safety operating procedures.
Monitors production lines hygiene, sanitation and food safety standards.
Monitors strict implementation of the plant good manufacturing practices (GMP).
