SMC-IFSI is engaged in the management, operation, and maintenance of farms, hatcheries, slaughterhouses, fishpond, storage and various facilities and equipment for breeding, hatching, raising, growing, production, slaughter and / or processing of poultry. Fowls, hogs, livestock and other kinds of animals and foodstuffs and other activities allied or incidental thereto such as but not limited to animal feeds, nutrition, and healthcare.

Qualifications:

A. Education (preferred level)

• Graduate of any 4 or 5-year course (B.S. Food Technology/ Biology or any science related course)

• Computer Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

B. Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position)

• Have at least 3 years’ experience in a food industry.

C. Technical Competencies:

• Knowledge in Quality and Food Safety Management System, GMP, SSOP, HACCP, Corporate Environmental, Safety and Health Policy and Preventive Maintenance.

• Good Communication skills both oral and written.

• Excellent leadership and inter-personal skills.

Job Description:

The Production Supervisor plans, leads, organizes and controls the Basic and Further Processing Operations. Ensures Production Orders are served and in conformance with San Miguel Foods Inc (SMFI’s) Quality and Food Safety Management System Standard and/or Customer’s Product Specification and Standards. Ensures 100% Production Order’s serviceability subject to operational concerns such as but not limited to Manpower availability; Small tools, equipment, and machine trouble; Raw material (live and dressed weights) and packaging material supply constraints.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with Logistics Planner the Production Orders for processing (Daily and/or weekly) taking into considerations the revisions made.

• Prepare production orders detailing product types or variants, quantities, specifications, required shipping schedules.

• Directs operations in fulfilling the production orders and / or plan according to standard product formats and specifications.

• Evaluates actual operation performance measures such as Products yield, production output versus targets and develops corrective actions on below target performances.

• Conducts coordination meeting with Production Foremen to discuss performance results of operations and sets directives on implementation of agreed upon corrective actions for any deviations.

• Monitors thru Daily Serviceability Report the actual output of processed product formats versus production order and/or sales requirements.

• Supervise the activities involved in setting the production plan, monitoring of production output, transfer of completed production to Warehouse.

• Ensure orderliness, cleanliness and sanitation of Production facilities (Basic and Further Processing Areas and its auxiliary facilities such as Truck scale, Lairage, By-Products, Crates and coops washing areas to provide a safe and healthy environment at all times.

• Demonstrates a high concern for the health and safety of self and others;

• Checks and verifies that regular preventive maintenance of machineries and equipment are performed by the maintenance personnel periodically and that all machines and equipment are kept in good running condition and are safe to operate.

• Demonstrates commitment to Company Rules and Regulations.

• Undertakes special projects or technical studies as requested by San Miguel Foods Inc.

• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of company goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
