Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food technology, food engineering, industrial engineering, or science-related field.
• Previous supervisory experience in food production is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead production team to achieve production volume, quality, service and cost targets.
• Ensure staff are oriented and trained for production processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for labor, equipment, and repairs.
• Monitor and report on production performance and process issues.

• Maintain housekeeping standards for a safe workplace.
• Participate in monthly inventory counts.

Job description

Purpose of the position:

Production Supervisor leads the production team of Canned, Retort SUP and Condiments products. The Production Supervisor is accountable and responsible for efficient production including quality control, development of employees and departmental cost control.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for staff management, production management and smooth run of production process to achieve established production volume, quality, service and cost;




• Ensures production employees are properly oriented and trained;




• Ensures that the department complies with regulations and company policies;




• Liaisons with third party contractors and suppliers to meet labor or plant equipment and/or repair needs.




• Monitors, measures and reports on production related process performance, general issues;




• Ensures good communication is given either verbally or written to all members/staff;




• Maintains housekeeping standards to ensure clean and safe workplace;




• Participates in Company’s monthly inventory count;




• Maintains high standard of professional knowledge and conducts oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect when dealing with suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors, customers, and other stakeholders of the company.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in food technology, food engineering, industrial engineering, or science-related course.




• Previous experience in food production or experience in a supervisory role preferred.




• Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.




• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.




• Good leadership skills.




• With a keen eye for detail and a rational thinker




• Knowledge of lean manufacturing systems is an advantage




• Possess good decision-making skills




• Willing to work on shifts, 6 days a week




• Willing to be assigned in Cabuyao, Laguna
