Job summary

MANILA CATERING CORPORATION is seeking a Production Planner to develop daily, weekly, and monthly schedules based on demand forecasts and sales orders. You will coordinate across Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, and QA to ensure material availability and efficient operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or related field, with 2–3 years in food manufacturing planning, plus CPIM and GMP/HACCP training or certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with minimum 2–3 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing planning within a food environment.
• APICS CPIM certification and Lean/GMP/HACCP training are required or strongly preferred.
• Formal supply chain certification demonstrates expertise in planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts and sales orders.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, and QA departments regarding production requirements.
• Monitor raw material availability and align with production plans.
• Analyze production capacity, machine availability, and manpower requirements.
• Issue production plans and work orders to production teams.
• Track actual production versus planned output and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor finished goods and WIP inventory levels.
• Assist in minimizing stock shortages, excess inventory, and downtime.
• Coordinate schedule adjustments for urgent orders, shortages, or equipment breakdowns.
• Prepare production performance reports and forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts and sales orders
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, and Quality Assurance departments regarding production requirements
• Monitor raw material availability and ensure alignment with production plans
• Analyze production capacity, machine availability, and manpower requirements
• Issue production plans and work orders to production teams
• Track actual production versus planned output and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor inventory levels of finished goods and work-in-process materials
• Assist in minimizing stock shortages, excess inventory, and production downtime
• Coordinate schedule adjustments for urgent orders, material shortages, or equipment breakdowns
• Prepare production performance reports and forecasts

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Food Technology, or related field
• At least 2-3 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, or Manufacturing Planning within a food manufacturing environment
• APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Lean Manufacturing Training
• GMP and HACCP Training
