About the role

The Production & PPIC Assistant Manager plays a critical role in managing day-to-day production activities and inventory planning operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery in compliance with PEZA requirements. The role contributes to the continuous improvement of the molding injection process, cost control, and customer satisfaction by balancing production capacity and inventory availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

• Manage production operations, ensuring output meets quantity, quality, and targets.

• Enhance production efficiency, Investigate and improve production issues, and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.

• Monitor and evaluate machine utilization, manpower allocation, and downtime.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health standards, 5S and related government requirements.

Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC)

• Prepare and adjust the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer demand, material availability, and machine capacity.

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

• Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse for on time delivery of all materials to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

• Monitor and maintain accurate records of all inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, issuances, and returns.

• Analyze and report material variances, production delays, and material consumption trends to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

PEZA Compliance

• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of import/export materials and finished goods in accordance with PEZA regulations.

• Coordinate with PEZA officers for compliance requirements and submission of reports.

• Work closely with the Compliance or Government Liaison team for permit processing and documentary compliance.

Leadership and Coordination

• Lead PPIC and production team members to meet operational and compliance KPIs.

• Conduct regular coaching and performance evaluation of subordinates.

• Foster collaboration between Production, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Compliance departments
