Job summary

BEMPU Health Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Product & Graphic Design Intern to work across device CAD work and marketing materials, packaging, brochures, and UI for app and website.

You will move between device enclosure design and brochure layouts, contributing to both product and graphic design with mentorship from the founder and teams.

Qualifications

• Portfolio spanning both product and graphic design required.
• Proficient in CAD packages such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Proficiency in design tools: Figma for UI, Illustrator or InDesign for print/marketing.
• Understanding of print production basics: bleed, colour, material.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic CAD work on devices, in collaboration with engineering.
• Design packaging, cartons, inserts, labels and instructions for print.
• Create brochures, one-pagers, exhibition material and campaign visuals within brand guidelines.
• Design the UI for app and website from wireframes to handoff for development.
• Maintain brand consistency across publishable material and expand guidelines as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing and clinical teams, including with parents and clinicians.

Job Description

We are looking for a Product & Graphic Design Intern to work across both sides of design: basic CAD work on our devices, alongside the design of our marketing material, packaging, brochures, and the user interface for our app and website.

It is an unusual combination, and that is deliberate. We want someone who can move between a device enclosure and a brochure layout in the same week. We are looking for a portfolio that spans both product and graphic design.

What You'll Do

• Basic CAD work on our devices: part modelling, simple assemblies, drawings and design revisions alongside our engineering team.


• Design our packaging, including cartons, inserts, labels and instructions for use, prepared correctly for print.


• Design brochures, one-pagers, exhibition material and campaign creative, working within our brand guidelines.


• Design the user interface for our app and website, from wireframe through to a handoff a developer can build from.


• Help keep our brand consistent across everything we publish, and extend the guidelines where they fall short.


• Work directly with our engineering, marketing and clinical teams, and with parents and clinicians where we can.

Requirements

• A portfolio spanning both product and graphic design. Please include a link with your application; we care far more about this than about your CV.


• Working knowledge of a CAD package such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or an equivalent.


• Competence in design tools: Figma for interface work, and Illustrator or InDesign for print and marketing material.


• An understanding of print production basics: bleed, colour, material, and what actually survives a print run.


• Care for the end user. Our products are handled by nurses in busy wards and by anxious parents at home, so clarity beats cleverness.


• Open to critique and able to iterate quickly.


• Currently studying or recently graduated in product design, industrial design, communication design or a related field.


• Available for a 6-month full-time paid internship in Bangalore.


• A paid internship with a monthly stipend.


• Your work in physical production: packaging and material that ships with a real medical device.
