Job summary

Daely Cosmetics is seeking a design intern to support concept development and brand asset creation across product, brand, and visual initiatives in a growing, founder-led beauty brand. The role is hands-on and structured, with opportunities to contribute during product development and launches.

Ideal candidates are design students or recent graduates with a strong eye for design, solid knowledge of visual design principles, and a portfolio that showcases creativity and craft.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated with a qualification in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Visual Communication or a related creative discipline
• Strong foundation in visual design principles, color theory, composition and typography
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent
• Demonstrated artistic ability through a portfolio of artwork or design projects
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across creative work
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
• Ability to take constructive feedback and adapt creative work accordingly
• Interest in branding direction and strategy
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of visual concepts and artistic direction for campaigns and brand materials
• Support the art direction process by researching design trends, visual styles and competitive landscape analysis
• Prepare mood boards, visual references and design presentations for client and internal stakeholder review
• Assist in the production and refinement of creative assets across multiple platforms and formats
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh creative ideas to ongoing projects
• Learn and apply current design software, tools and industry best practices throughout the internship
• Create packaging mock ups and design with guidance from founder

About the Role

The design intern supports concept development and brand asset creation across product, brand, and visual initiatives. This role is ideal for an industrial design or design student who enjoys working across concept ideation, visual storytelling, and brand support in a growing, founder‑led beauty brand.

The role is structured and hands‑on, with opportunities to contribute to product and retail concepts, particularly during product development and launch phases.

There is potential for this role to transition into a full‑time position based on performance, fit, and business needs. For an internship, this is a paid internship [ w/ allowance].
