Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor Philippines is seeking a senior IC characterization engineer to develop ATE test programs and characterize chip IP features across varied conditions. You will execute bench and wafer-level testing, apply statistics to datasheet parameter definitions, and coordinate root-cause analysis with multiple teams.

Qualified candidates bring 8+ years in IC validation/characterization, strong hardware and software skills (Python/C++), and proficiency with lab equipment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in ECE, CoE, EE or Physics is required.
• 8+ years as an IC/product characterization/validation IC
• Experience in ATE test program development, integration and debugging
• Hardware development experience (bench boards)
• Experience with bench tools (oscilloscope, pattern generators, DTI, multimeters)
• Experience with wafer sort, package assembly, final test
• Experience in Programmable Logic is desirable
• Experience in RTL design/verification is an advantage
• Knowledge of test/DFT methodologies (scan, BIST) is an advantage
• Knowledge of Verilog/VHDL and programming (Python, C++)
• Statistical process control knowledge
• Excellent English communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop ATE test and characterization programs.
• Develop characterization test plans for chip IP functions and features.
• Execute characterization across process, temperature, and voltage conditions.
• Apply statistical analysis to define datasheet parameters and report results.
• Identify root causes of product marginalities and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Design/test circuits using FPGA fabric and embedded IP.
• Develop bench automation and data collection scripts/programs.
• Design and develop ATE and bench hardware.
• Drive product issues to resolution.
• Plan and execute testing of samples (AS, ES) for timely delivery.
• Analyze and report test yield and test time.
