Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Product Documentation Specialist to prepare and maintain manuals for Treasury-related products and branch operations in line with regulations and internal standards.

The role coordinates with Treasury personnel and other units to revise manuals, substantiates discussions with research, and prepares procedures to support product usage with other bank services. A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years banking experience are required.

Job Description:

The role reports to the Senior Development Officer. This involves the preparation and maintenance of product and operations manuals as well as procedural circulars for instruments sold through Treasury and the branch network in accordance with applicable regulations and internal bank standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Product Development and Enhancement

1. Develops Treasury-related products and services as identified by the product sponsor
2. Updates/Modifies/Improves the features of existing products vis‑a‑vis competition, market needs and regulatory requirements in coordination with product sponsor

B. Product Documentation

1. Coordinates with Treasury personnel and other concerned banking units in the preparation and/or revision of the pertinent product manuals, which include explaining and discussing the products to ensure accurate documentation
2. Carries out research work to substantiate the discussions in the product manual (e.g. definitions, pricing considerations, relevant regulations)
3. Coordinates and prepares the procedures necessary to utilize issued product in relation with other bank products and services (e.g. collateral for loans)
4. Identifies and outlines activities and system support needed to accomplish product documentation
5. Accomplishes and submits product documentation within the agreed timeline

C. Administrative Support

1. Prepares required documentation relating to Treasury activities to comply with the needs of senior management and regulatory agencies
2. Reviews and updates Treasury Manuals/PPCs as triggered by product sponsor
3. Prepares materials whenever there are scheduled presentations to regulatory agencies, bank units and/or bank clients
4. Coordinates requirements and concerns or issues, if any, with other units or counterparties

Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:
