Job summary

Business Process Outsourcing International, Inc. is seeking a Product Data Analyst to manage, maintain, and analyze product information in SAP, BOM, PLM, and related systems within the food sector.

You will ensure data accuracy, support data creation and validation, generate reports, and coordinate with Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality teams to keep records current and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, IT, Food Technology, Food Science, SCM or related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience in Product Data Management, Master Data Management, Data Analysis, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with BOM and PLM is required.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Create, encode, update, and maintain product master data in SAP, BOM, PLM, and other systems.
• Encode and maintain product information including codes, descriptions, specs, ingredients, packaging, and units.
• Manage data through the PLM lifecycle from development to changes and discontinuation.
• Review data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
• Analyze data to identify discrepancies, duplicates, and missing information.
• Perform data reconciliation between SAP, BOM, PLM, Excel, and other sources.
• Coordinate with Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Quality.
• Extract and analyze product data for reporting and business requirements.
• Prepare reports, trackers, and data summaries; monitor data changes and documentation.
• Support data cleansing, migration, and validation for new and existing products.
• Identify trends and opportunities for data quality improvements.

PRODUCT DATA ANALYST

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Product Data Analyst to manage, maintain, and analyze product-related data within the food industry. The role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product information in SAP, BOM (Bill of Materials), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and other company systems.

The position will support product data creation, validation, maintenance, reporting, reconciliation, and coordination with various departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date product information throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, encode, update, and maintain product master data in SAP, VOM, PLM, and other company systems.
• Accurately encode and maintain product information, including product codes, descriptions, specifications, ingredients, packaging details, units of measure, and other relevant product attributes.
• Manage and maintain product information throughout the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, from product development and approval through product changes and discontinuation.
• Review and validate product data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established data standards.
• Analyze product data and identify discrepancies, duplicates, missing information, and other data quality issues.
• Perform data reconciliation between SAP, BOM, PLM, Excel, and other data sources.
• Process and monitor product creation, modification, and maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Quality, and other relevant departments to verify and update product information.
• Extract, organize, and analyze product data from SAP, BOM, PLM, and other databases for reporting and business requirements.
• Prepare and maintain regular reports, trackers, and data summaries related to product information.
• Monitor product data changes and ensure that updates are properly documented and accurately reflected across relevant systems.
• Support data cleansing, data migration, and validation activities for new and existing products.
• Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement in product data and data management processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of product data changes and requests.
• Ensure compliance with established product data management procedures and standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product data accuracy, quality, and process efficiency.
• Perform other product data analysis and management tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in Product Data Management, Master Data Management, Data Analysis, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with BOM (Bill of Materials) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) is required.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Experience handling product master data is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF functions, and other data analysis functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling large volumes of product data.
• Strong data validation, reconciliation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the food, FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods industry.
• Experience using BOM, PLM, and SAP for product data management.
• Knowledge of SAP Material Master/Product Master Data.
• Experience handling large product databases or catalogs.
• Experience in data cleansing, validation, and data quality management.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization/reporting tools is an advantage.
