Overview
The Inventory & Operations Support ensures smooth day-to-day store operations by managing inventory accuracy, coordinating logistics, and assisting in basic store maintenance. This role plays a key part in monitoring stock levels, analyzing product aging, and ensuring the store remains well-stocked, operationally efficient, and in optimal condition for customers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels daily and ensure timely replenishment of products and supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory counts (daily, weekly, monthly) to maintain accuracy.
- Record all deliveries, transfers, wastage, and returns in accordance with company procedures.
- Track product shelf life and conduct stock aging analysis to minimize spoilage or obsolescence.
- Generate periodic stock level and aging reports to guide ordering decisions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to address discrepancies or urgent supply needs.
- Logistics Coordination
- Oversee incoming deliveries and ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation.
- Prepare and dispatch inter-branch transfers and supplier returns.
- Coordinate delivery schedules to avoid disruption of store operations.
- Store Maintenance
- Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
- Report and coordinate repairs with maintenance service providers.
- Assist in basic upkeep such as light cleaning, organizing storage areas, and minor repairs.
- Operational Support
- Assist the store team during high-demand periods with basic operational tasks.
- Support adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Participate in periodic store audits and process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or vocational course (college degree an advantage).
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in inventory, logistics, or store operations.
- Knowledge of stock aging analysis and basic inventory reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel formulas (e.g., SUMIF, VLOOKUP, IF, Pivot Tables) for data tracking and analysis.
- Physically fit to handle lifting and movement of goods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
