Job summary

You will acknowledge supplier confirmations, ensure orders with preferred suppliers, and chase back orders to keep lines accurate. The role requires strong Excel, data hygiene and English communication skills, with experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory administration.
• High attention to detail across repeating, data-heavy work, with evidence of catching errors rather than keying them as received.
• Confidence to query and challenge discrepancies with suppliers and internal staff rather than proceeding on assumption.
• Strong written and verbal English, comfortable communicating with an Australian team and Australian suppliers.
• Solid Excel and general data hygiene skills.
• ERP or purchasing system experience (highly desirable).
• Mining, industrial or construction supply chain exposure (highly desirable).
• Experience working remotely as part of an Australian client's team (highly desirable).

Responsibilities

• Process conversions and update supplier pricing in systems
• Acknowledge and record supplier confirmations against purchase orders
• Check orders are placed with preferred suppliers, and challenge or escalation where they are not
• Chase back orders with suppliers and keep order lines current
• Update supplier ETAs so the business is working from accurate dates
• Process bulk inventory transfer movements in systems
• Data administration and upkeep of the vendor management system
